Eve Air Mobility signed a binding agreement with FlyBIS Aviation for up to 12 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, including two firm orders and purchase rights for ten additional units. FlyBIS plans to deploy the eVTOLs in Southern Brazil, connecting cities such as Navegantes, Balneário Camboriú, and Florianópolis
The companies will collaborate on entry-into-service requirements, including network planning, operational readiness, infrastructure, and integration of eVTOL services into the broader transportation ecosystem. Eve reported its full-scale engineering prototype has completed over 70 test flights, advancing toward certification and commercial operations
Japan’s Finance Minister Satsuki Katayama visited SkyDrive’s flight test facility in Yamaguchi City to observe a demonstration of the company’s pilotless electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The flight lasted approximately six minutes, covering 2.2 kilometers at a maximum speed of 78 km/h and altitude of 30 meters
Acoustic modeling by German consultancy Munich Aeroacoustics (MUAA) suggests that specially designed fractal surfaces on vertipads could reduce noise from electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft operations, especially at elevated sites like rooftop vertiports. Using their FLYO simulation software, MUAA compared eight hypothetical pad configurations against untreated surfaces
